We are all liars. That’s the truth.

”People lie. Proof doesn’t”-Julia Izmalcowa

Lies and lies and lies. We see and we meet people everywhere, everyday. However, can we know for sure who wants our good and who doesn’t?
Julia’s Izmalcowa speech illustrated perfectly the idea of “lying”. It was really impressive how she caught people’s attention from the first couple of minutes, by suggesting a game which involved everybody’s contribution. We were told to stand up if we had had a relationship for more than 6 months and then we grouped into triangles, in order to look into each others eyes and guess which of us had been cheated or had cheated, so that we could recognise the ones who tried to hide the truth. In this way, we tested our ability to be aware of who lies around us.
Another aspect that I liked about it, was the fact that she had created a simple presentation which pointed only the main, essential ideas developed by her during speaking.
What we found out was the fact that, surprisingly, women lie more than men, as she said: “Women lie to protect. Men lie to build their status.”
